Who am I?

I am currently a graduate student in computer science at Virginia Tech. My research field is bioinformatics with a currect focus on genetics and DNA sequences. Information on my research can be found on my research page.

Where am I from?

I am originally from the great state of Maryland where I attended the German School of Washington DC from kindergarten through earning my German Abitur. I then migrated south to attend Virginia Tech where I received my undergraduate degree in computer science in the spring of 2004.

What experience do I have?

I have had a variety of jobs over the past few years, from lifeguarding through system administration and database programming. I have also spent a year as a teaching assistant and am currently a research assistant. More on my education and experience can be found on my experience page.
