Demonstrations

The items below are designed to illustrate possible applications of the Center for HCI's BRIDGE (Basic Resources for Integrated Distributed Group Environments) tools * for health applications. The demonstrations represent both current capabilities of the tool prototypes, as well as some possible future applications.

Check back for live versions of these demos in the near future.

1. Telemedicine Workspace. This shows the envisioned use of BRIDGE tools to create a collaborative workspace for distributed analysis activities.

2. Collaborative Mapping Tools. Illustration of the use of a collaboratively editable map for tracking collection of birds infected with West Nile Virus.

3. Distributed Data Sharing. BRIDGE-based tools can be used to share data in a form than can be collaboratively edited and viewed from the web.

4. Web Resource Construction. Web resources oriented towards local needs can be constructed collaboratively using BRIDGE-based tools.

5. Emergency Preparedness. Preparing for natural or man-made emergencies requires coordination among numerous, distributed stakeholders. Collaborative tools can facilitate these interactions.
