- The following met at CHI 2003 for lunch on Thrusday to discuss this project:

- We informally discussed the objectives of this project and shared various experiences in teaching scencario-based design

- We currently expect up to 13 attendees at the workshop, seven out-of-town participants and six local
- Location
- We decided to go with Donaldson-Brown due to its convenient location
- We decided to locate the workshop in McBryde 655 if it's available
- This will give us quick access to copiers and other departmental resources

- Meals
- We can provide meals for out-of-town guests, but not local guests
- Breakfast could be informally available in workshop area
- Social at Carrolls' on Thursday night

- Ground the discussion (mostly prior to the workshop)

- Develop plans for developing and evaluating case-based pedagogy
- Develop plans for sharing among project members
- Agenda
- Overall plan is to structure the beginning of the workshop and then shift to a goal-oriented open agenda
- Mary Beth to generate a draft agenda for the workshop and get local comments [Action: Mary Beth]
- Con to circulate the agenda among the participants to get their comments [Action: Con]

- Want to send out papers on various issues to all participants before the workshop

- Literature survey of case study pedagogy will be a key document to frame the workshop
- Sets stage for "What is a case?"
- Summary of what has been accomplished to date
- Theory discussions from previous meetings
- Data and analysis from CS 3724, spring 2003
- Need to discuss getting releases for sharing products and/or student projects
- Ask participants to share examples of:
- homework
- project specifications and results
- any case-study-like resources they use or are aware of
- grading rubricks
- in-class activities
- comment on what cases are particularly good for
- comment on alternatives to cases and why they are better
- bring or send material ahead of time
